A headshot is basically a picture of your face. You can go to http://www.newyorkheadshots.net for some examples. Use a high quality camera.
Did you perform for any school plays? TV commercials? Musicals? Do you have a demo song? Have you written anything? Do you have some videos of you singing on youtube?

THose would be good to build a portfolio.

well i don’t think so. first of all, north america is a big music market. That include us & canada. she just only been in couple states in america. i’m not sure if she been in canada before. thereforce, i can’t say anything about canada market, because i’m not living in canada. if you go to best buy music section in america, i’m sure you can’t find any boa music. That’s the answer right there. In my opinion about boa, she focus on too much on english music. she haven’t make any korea and japanese music for very long time. the reason why i like boa because i like boa’s jpop & kpop mix style and she is a good dancer. now i don’t like to see her mix with america style. plus in america, we already have britney spear. why we need another brithney spear in the us. asian music change really fast every month. when she go back to aisa market, it will be hard for her to caught up. why don’t she try to dominate chinese market first? she just only sing couple of the song in chinese. that’s why i don’t think she have dominate the chinese market yet.

I only post facts as they are available. At the time of the blog post the facts about him having the copyright was not known in Canada. However, “he” did not buy the rights. The rights are owned by 4 different record labels in South Korea.

Furthermore, “that guy” is not names Drunken Tiger. Drunken tiger is a group name which “was” comprised of DJ Shine and Tiger JK. Although, if you are going to call anyone by the name of Drunken Tiger it should be Tiger JK. “He” is the group.

Next time use spell check before you make a comment… honestly.

they’ve been going on the radio stations and making appearances. they made an appearance on national tv on the wendy williams talk show. but these are all baby steps for them because most people in north america know nothing about the wonder girls. and they only have the one english-language song for sale in the market at the moment. i would expect more promotion by the wonder girls AFTER their full first album for north america comes out in october or november. what’s been happening for them with the jonas brothers tour is more of an introduction to introduce them to public in north america and also to get the girls connected in the music industry in north america. jyp knows a lot about the american music market but getting the wonder girls to the next level in north america is going to be a long term project.

Nice take

I came across Tiger JK via his wife Tasha – she’s got to be one of the best female rappers I have heard in a long time. She is definitely overlooked.

Those groups that you mentioned I believe use rap as a gimmick and most of them sell more sex than skill.

I am relieved to see credibility in Asian Hip Hop but it is a pity that I had to filter through the Foie Gras.

Here is what I have to say to you. I don’t post the current news… I post what I feel like posting… and that is usually whatever comes to mind at the time. My blog isn’t a current events site. I will leave that to the experts at Allkpop. This blog is solely based on my opinion and my opinion alone. As far as I know people are allowed to have the freedom of speech and the ability to have their own beliefs / opinions. I will continue to speak my mind and there is not a single thing that you can say or do to stop me. There’s also an Asian artist that penetrated the North American entertainment industry, it’s Lea Salonga from Philippines, she sang the theme song of Disney movie ” A Whole New World” at the Oscars on 2003. She also sang the Mulan version of “Reflection”. She’s a stage actress in Broadway and won numerous acting awards. Also, there is an upcoming singer named Charice (also from Philippines) who is now the protegee of renowned producer David Foster. She was given an exposure on Oprah and some other shows inside & outside US territory. Talent, luck & right connection will get you noticed in States.

It’s mostly a culture thing, I believe. I’ve worked at a couple different offices in Seoul and it’s the same. Plus I’ve shared stories with my Korean friends here and they’ve all had similar stories from their companies. It’s just the way it is in Korean company culture.

Needles to say, I’m very thankful to be working at a multinational company now…

i’d take a pinch of salt with everything the interns say, it’s going to be biased. the bottom line is bosses will always want the most work done and the workers will want to do less.

is it really a culture thing? i’ve worked with some arrogant interns before who thought they knew better than the older experienced staff. they think they know but they don’t. sometimes experience is more important.

creativity and ideas are good and shouldn’t be stifled, maybe she just went about it in the wrong way? respect is something you gain and not something that is handed out just like that.
