    A staple of Japanese cinema from the 1950s to 1970s, acclaimed director Masumura Yasuzo was a pioneer of the New Wave, often challenging social taboos with his passionate, visceral, and subversive works.     Fascinated with women from an early age, Yonosuke (Ichikawa Raizo) had his first sexual encounter at the age of seven.
