Kollaboration Toronto 2010 is well on its way!
I have been following Kollaboration Toronto for several years now and must say that this is a truly fun event. In fact, it was one of my first revues on Kpop-Jpop. Much has changed since then and it shows. Kollaboration Toronto is managed by several professional students with something in common. They all love what they are doing with Kollaboration.
About Kollaboration Toronto:
http://www.tdotkollaboration.org
Kollaboration Toronto is a non-profit talent show that is organized every year in order to provide a creative outlet for youths to display their leadership and skills. Since its establishment in 2006, they have had sold-out shows that have catered to audiences up to 1300 people. They have become a very well known organization within the community.
Kollaboration is an annual event and movement that was created by a small group of young Korean Americans. It began 8 years ago in the Korean-American community of Los Angeles, and since then, has spread to New York, Chicago, Toronto, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and continues to spread to major cities all over North America. Kollaboration Toronto is put on by a group of young, professional Korean Canadian students who volunteer their time and skills in order to celebrate the vast talents that exist within their community and hopefully bring them into the mainstream.
Toronto Kollaboration operates under the DreamTree Community Productions banner in conjunction with ProKreations Productions.
DreamTree’s Mission:
- To foster healthy confidence, self esteem and identity among Korean-Canadian youths through the performing arts.
- To Nurture and promote the development of artistic abilities among young Korean-Canadians.
- To inspire and give back to the Korean-Canadian community and Canadian society by encouraging young people to share their talents with others.
Kollaboration’s Vision:
This year’s vision for Kollaboration is “RAW.UNCUT.EXPOSED.” The word “RAW” represents the reality of Kollaboration Toronto in making throughout the year. The word “UNCUT” represents that they will be showing behind the scenes footage of their work throughout the year including meetings, postering, workshops, etc. Finally, the word “EXPOSED” represents their plan to show the community how Kollaboration helps to nurture not only the performers, but also everyone else involved during the process.
This year Kollaboration Toronto will re-establish itself as an iconic talent show and will focus on the Asian community as a whole!

Sponsorship:
Kollaboration Toronto provides a rare opportunity for young Korean Canadians and other minority youths to showcase their talents in a large-scale venue. It also provides the most effective avenue of increasing a sponsors’ brand awareness at the grassroots level by tapping into the ever-growing and lucrative Canadian Asian communities. This year’s event will attract over 1,300 audience members, most of whom will be Korean Canadian and other Asian youth, students, and professionals.
If you are interested in becoming a corporate sponsor you can contact the email address below for your sponsorship package and any appropriate information that they may provide.
They have several sponsorship levels starting from a ticket donation to a diamond sponsorship level. I have reviewed the sponsorship package and I must say that the diamond sponsorship package provides best value and ROI.
As a DIAMOND SPONSOR you will get the following:
- Recognition as a primary sponsor.
- Full colour, full page ad on the back cover of the program book.
- Full listing and recognition in Kollaboration Toronto materials and website (flyers, poster –subject to print deadlines of course)
- Full listing and recognition in Kollaboration Toronto’s biweekly mass emails and media.
- Link to sponsor’s website from Kollaboration’s website.
- One 30-second Web commercial posted on Kollaboration Toronto’s website. (if provided)
- Two 30-second commercials that will be played throughout the performances (if provided)
- Two premium banner placements in theater on the day of the show.
- Meet and greet with Kollaboration celebrity judges, performers, and winners. (Upon request).
- Complimentary VIP guest tickets. (Priority reservation to be arranged).
When you break it down it will only cost you 4.5cents for every view of your web commercial throughout the year (based on 300 website viewers a day throughout a 365 day period). The full page ad, the text link, the 30-second commercials at the show, the banner placement, the posters, the flyers, the mass emails, and the VIP tickets are all free.
This is truly a fantastic way to set yourself apart from your competition for being known as a company or organization that supports the community like no other. Having a fantastic ROI is also a bonus.
