Directed by Stanley Kwan, Lan Yu was adapted from an internet novel called The Beijing Story. It is a story about the love affair of two homosexual men in Beijing. This critically acclaimed movie received the Best Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Director and Best Editing awards at the 2002 Golden Horse Awards.
