    G-Dragon

    G-Dragon

I can’t say that I never knew that this would happen. The most commonly known song that everyone thinks of is G-Dragon’s song called “Heartbreaker” which sounds like Flo Rida’s song called “Right Round”.

I made an earlier post about G-Dragon and stated that I don’t thik that his song sounds that similar. However, after watching several of his live performances I can honestly say that it does sound similar. This is probably why Sony had sent YG Entertainment a notification which prohibits the use of the mentioned song without its explicit permission. Obviously YG Entertainment will fight back and prepare a defence… but I am not sure if they will be able to win this one. I hope that they do win becasue I would hate to see G-Dragon take a hit against his solo career as soon as he came away from the starting line.

Even though I think his new fashion makes him look like an idion I have to say that he is still one of the more talented K-Pop stars out there right now. It is tough to compete in Korea’s pop culture when it is flooded with cookie cutter music groups and electronic unorigional songs. Most of the Big Bang music repertoire have fresh beats with a solid flow. Most niotibally was thier song “Lies” which caught the attention of kpop fans all over the world.

A court case like this could be damaging to his career. Nobody wants that. I guess YG should have thought about it wen they had him do “Heartbreaker”… as well as others.

We will see what happens with this one as it unflds. As always I will look to delve deeper into this to see where the real story is. I will report on my findings in a later post.
