Bada and Shoo

It has been almost 2 years since Bada has graced us with her talent and almost 7 years since we have heard anything from Shoo. The good news is that they will both make a comeback at the same time. However, It will not be together.

Shoo will be releasing a her first single from anywhere between August and September. It may take some time for her to adjust to the spotlight since she is returning to stage 7 years since S.E.S’s 5th album ‘Choose My Life-U’. Even though all this time she has not been active in Korea, she has taken part in musicals in Japan. I believe that one of those musicals had something to do with a bat boy… but don’t quote me on it

Bada will also be having her comeback at the same time period as Shoo, and Shoo has expressed that she is really excited about that. No doubt it will help her with her comeback since they both came from the same musical group. It is said that she will try to use her cute image again to rebuild her image. However, I am not so sure that she can pull off “cute” ever since she went under the knife so many times…

Wikipedia gives the following description on the girls from the former Koreangirl group S.E.S.

“Yoo Soo-Young (born October 2,3 1981, in Yokohama, Japan), more commonly known as Shoo (her Japanese name), is a Korean singer, actor, and a member of the pop group S.E.S.. Although Korean, she lived in Japan for most of her early life. She got her start in the group by trying out in auditions for SM Entertainment (unlike the other two members, who were discovered through less conventional methods). She succeeded in getting noticed from the judges and was thus offered a spot in their girl group, which became known as S.E.S. (standing for Sea, Eugene, and Shoo, the three members).”

“Bada (born February 28, 1980) is a South Korean singer. Her birth name is Choi Sung Hee. Bada studied Korean traditional vocal music at Dankook University. As the former lead vocal from the now defunct S.E.S., Bada has released three solo albums and two singles. Before the release of her third album, Bada started a fashion business.”

I bought both of Bada’s first 3 albums. I wasn’t quite impressed with her “Queen” album… mainly because of the disco glam style that she tried to pull off. Not good. Hopefully she can get back to her funky self and give us a good album to listen to.
